High-precision PiezoMove® actuators combine high dynamics and large travel ranges in a small package. The P-601 piezo actuators from PI (Physik Instrumente) offer travel ranges up to 480 µm and very high resolutions, to 0.2 nm. Together with their small dimensions and the cost-effective design, the P-601 lever-amplified actuators are especially well suited for OEM applications. Compared to direct-driven piezo translators, PiezoMove® actuators offer larger travel ranges, as well as much higher lateral stiffness and guiding precision. Compared to single-axis nanopositioning stages, they offer clearly smaller dimensions.

PiezoMove® P-601 versions with strain-gauge sensors (SGS) use a full-bridge arrangement that is immune to thermal drift. Versions without sensors are also available for open-loop applications. In addition to standard models made of steel, special Invar, aluminum, and non-magnetic versions are available on request.

PI, a global market leader in the field of micro- and nanopositioning technology, has been developing and manufacturing standard, custom and OEM products with piezoelectric and motor drives for over 35 years. In addition to its three manufacturing centers in Germany, PI is present worldwide with eight subsidiaries and total staff of more than 400.
