In a very strong response, a clear majority— 59 per cent – of the1884 respondents to last week’s poll thought that medical technologies would need to most support from government, while 32 per cent thought non-renewable energies, including nuclear and CCS, needed a helping hand. The other options gathered little support, with renewables, aerospace and defence, and automotive attracting 6 per cent, 2 per cent and 0.5 per cent respectively.
