Materials handling specialist, Demag Cranes & Components Ltd. Has completed a major refurbishment project at USAF, Lakenheath.
The £1 million contract involved the overhaul and restoration of 33 protective aircraft shelters, used to house NATO F15 planes at the Suffolk base.
Fundamental to the project was the refurbishment of Demag wire rope hoists, which are now used to tow aircraft into the hangars for routine service and maintenance.
