, a contract electronics manufacturer, has supplied a series of safetycritical printed circuit boards for the control system at Diamond Light Source synchrotron at Chilton. Accurate positioning of the beam is achieved through constant monitoring by a VMEbased machine protection system, which consists of 1500 sensors feeding data via 60 PSL transmitter boards back to the control point.
