From ground-breaking developments in clean energy and electric mobility to key advances in potentially life-saving healthcare technology, the shortlist for The Engineer’s eighth annual C2I Awards is an inspiring reminder of both the UK’s depth of engineering talent and the role that engineers are playing in addressing some of the biggest challenges we face.
Spanning nine categories – including energy & environment, aerospace & defence, automotive, manufacturing, data, and healthcare technology – the full list of shortlisted entries for this year’s competition can be viewed here.
The ultimate winners will be revealed at a special party in London on the evening of Thursday 29th February 2024 and covered extensively in The Engineer magazine.
Now in its eighth year, Collaborate to Innovate (C2I) was launched to uncover and celebrate great examples of engineering collaboration – a dynamic considered critical to solving many of the challenges and problems faced by society.
Commenting on this year’s finalists, Editor of The Engineer Jon Excell added: “Yet again, the collaborate to innovate awards has uncovered an incredibly impressive crop of innovative projects and initiatives which, between them, provide a compelling illustration of both UK industry’s appetite collaboration and the role that engineers are playing in addressing the biggest challenges we face as a society.”
The competition is judged by some of the leading figures in UK engineering and supported by organisations including Babcock International Group, Science and Technology Facilities Council, EPSRC, EngineeringUK, Megger, Hays Recruitment, Igus, and Ejot.
