With the pressure on to develop and deliver new products ever more rapidly, advanced engineering simulation is increasingly vital across a range of sectors. And with many of today’s powerful advanced simulation tools calling for considerable investment in hardware, engineering organisations are beginning to turn to cloud-based simulation tools which offer an almost unlimited and flexible source of high performance computing resources.
In this survey we will explore industry attitudes towards cloud-based simulation and ask engineers across industry what - if any – cloud based tools they are using, what they are using them for, and what benefits and challenges they have experienced.
Produced in partnership with simulation software specialist SIMUSERV this survey will help inform The Engineer’s coverage of this important issue.
