Tactical integration

Cobham has announced the latest in a series of strategic moves to create centres of excellence and improve customer focus.

The engineering and production capabilities at Cobham’s El Monte, California facility will be integrated into existing facilities in Davenport, Iowa and Orchard Park, New York where more than 600 personnel are based.

The business units in Davenport and New York develop pneumatic systems, which are key components in weapons carriage and release systems, a major growth area for the Wimborne, Dorset-based company.

The integration of the company’s mission equipment products and services, including air-to-air refuelling and weapons carriage and release capabilities, will be completed in late 2009.
