Steve Dutson has joined ESR Technology as its first in-house, full-time Recruitment Manager to lessen the company’s reliance on external recruitment agencies and head hunters. Steve Dutson’s focus will be on recruiting the industry’s best engineering, asset integrity and risk management consultants direct to the company as well as attracting the most promising young engineering and science graduates.
“Against the tide of current economic uncertainty, ESR continues to thrive,” said ESR Technology’s CEO, Pat Lawless. “Our staff turnover is low, so our issue is attracting, selecting and recruiting new talent. Traditional recruiting methods were proving ineffective and we were not confident we were gaining access to the best people in the market and recruitment costs were spiraling ever upwards.”
Before joining ESR Technology, Mr Dutson was an Executive Search Consultant for recruitment consultancy, Fircroft Engineering Services. Prior to this position he held a similar role with United Search International. He is Member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and Society of Exploration Geophysicists and an Affiliated Member of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation.
