Terminal blocks

Phoenix Contact is now responsible for the production and development of terminal blocks for Siemens.

The Siemens Automation and Drives Group has formed a strategic partnership with Phoenix Contact who will now be responsible for the production and development of its range of terminal blocks.

Siemens will also let Phoenix Contact use its production facility at Eviop Tempo, Vassilikon Evia, Greece to build the components and Phoenix Contact will take a 25% share in the facility to boot.

Siemens holds a majority stake in Eviop Tempo, which manufactures circuit breakers, modular installation devices, LV-HBC fuses and terminal blocks for the global market as well as switches and sockets for the Greek market.

The companies did not disclose the financial arrangements behind the partnership deal.
