Dynamo Games has created Mobi-Medic, a first aid guide which can be downloaded onto mobile phones, ensuring potentially life-saving information is always at hand.

For £5, a mobile phone user can download the information, which is then stored permanently, to be at hand whenever needed.

The product has already earned the support of the British Red Cross, who said that the device was the perfect way of carrying life-saving first aid advice.

Since gaining support from the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA) through an Ideasmart award for innovation, Dynamo Games has gone on to secure a deal with the 3UK Network. Now available to millions of 3UK Network users, Mobi-Medic attracted 4,000 customers within the first three weeks of going on sale.

Dynamo Games' founder Brian McNicoll said: 'The major network operators would never have taken such a small company seriously - NESTA's support gave us the credibility to take our concept to the mass market.'
