The new double cardanic design of the N-EUPEX DK coupling compensates for a greater range of shaft angle and also increased radial offsets, thus giving increased protection to the installed drive. This is achieved due to the two drive elastomer sets assuming the corresponding angle of inclination to the radial offset that may occur between the shaft ends. This arrangement increases the range of possible offsets by more than a factor of 4. This is particularly beneficial when the driving and driven shafts are not 100% aligned which would normally cause significant problems for the drive.
