Known for over 60 years in the mould and tool industry for their Diamond Pastes and other polishing consumables and equipment, Kemet International Ltd have another offering to the industry; A cleaning process that can bring any used mould tool back to a near new condition, removing any contamination in less than an hour - be it for Injection Moulding or Die Casting!
Normally cleaning requires some manual processing using abrasives that remove, not just the contamination but also the parent material from the mould. This can change the geometry of the mould, damage precision edge profiles and surfaces until it can no longer be used. The resultant cost in time and money, for mould refurbishment or replacement, is significant.
The Kemet process requires no manual scrubbing; simply a Kemet Ultrasonic Cleaner and a special aqueous based mould cleaning solution. All that is removed is the contaminant, whether plastic or rubber residue, release agent build up, non-ferrous mould debris or tarnish; all with no manual input other than loading and unloading of the tool being cleaned.
As the process is ultrasonic and uses an aqueous solution, which searches even the most difficult areas of the tool, no solvents are needed, making the process kinder to the environment and the workforce.
Perfectly complementing the comprehensive range of products for the precision engineering industry, which are detailed in Kemet’s new catalogue, more information about the process and free trials are available by contacting sales@kemet.co.uk or +44 (0) 1622 755287
