Memosens analytical sensors: be part of the digital revolution

The launch of Endress+Hauser’s Memosens digital pH sensors back in 2004 set new standards of accuracy and reliability in pH measurement. And with the subsequent addition of conductivity and DO sensors, Memosens is better placed than ever to offer the perf

Memosens digital sensors enable important process data to be saved directly in the sensor. This inductive, two-way data transfer between sensor and transmitter guarantees interference-free measuring signals and a dramatic simplification of process technology. This is possible because Memosens is the first to treat the problems of plug-in systems - not just the symptoms. It successfully eliminates issues such as moisture ingress, leakages, corrosion, salt bridges, ground loops and handling via an inductive non-contact plug-in connection that offers complete galvanic isolation. The good news doesn’t end there: the Memocheck Plus qualification tool verifies this data transmission independently of the sensor, so you can be absolutely sure of your readings. With five plug-in heads (each traceable back to production via a serial number) each simulating a particular sensor status, Memocheck makes measurement integrity watertight.
The Memosens integrated circuit board also offers a wealth of possibilities. For example, manufacturing data, current sensor properties and sensor history can all be recorded and used as the basis for predictive maintenance. Calibration data is stored, along with other key information such as overall time in operation, and minimum/maximum pH value and temperature.

Improvements you can measure
Memosens sensors can be pre-calibrated under laboratory conditions and then quickly replaced at the measuring point – thus eliminating the problems of measuring points that are difficult to access. The sensors identify themselves within the application; each measuring point recognises its individual sensor, which significantly reduces downtime. And this is just one cost-efficiency; Memosens also offers a longer life because sensors can be checked and regenerated by cleaning in the laboratory. Its pre-calibration also means that calibration under soiled or moist conditions is unnecessary and cuts work in hazardous areas to a minimum.

The complete package
The Memosens system is the complete package: it even offers solutions right through to problem-solving and troubleshooting. The Memocheck CYP02D service tool provides a quick and easy test of wiring and installation. It can also be used on-site to troubleshoot a system which has already been commissioned, to establish possible causes of error. By using the complete family – the Memosens digital pH sensor, the Memocheck Plus CYP01D qualification tool and the Memocheck CYP02D service tool - you’ll have peace of mind of knowing that all your measuring points are working at optimum efficiency and productivity.
