Technology firm Ricardo and MAG Manufacturing have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on providing cost-effective engineering and manufacturing programs for low to medium volume propulsion systems.
‘Together, we can provide robust and cost-effective concept-to-production solutions for our shared automotive, commercial, military and off-highway customers,’ said Dean Harlow, president of Ricardo.
Ricardo’s expertise ranges from concept design and strategic consulting to prototype production and manufacturing implementation in the transportation sector. It also has skills in low emissions and fuel-efficient powertrain technology.
MAG Industrial Automation Systems is a multi-national group of machine tool and manufacturing systems companies that serves a range of sectors, including the global transportation industry. MAG is particularly capable in areas including the machining of compacted graphite iron (CGI), which is widely used in the design of cylinder blocks for high performance automotive diesel and spark ignition engines.
