Alstom awarded €220m

Alstom has been awarded €220m to supply Spanish rail operator, RENFE with 30 commuter trains.
The contract requires Alstom to manufacture 30, five-coach Civia IV model trains and then maintain them for a period of 14 years. The first train is scheduled for delivery in September 2009, with subsequent deliveries continuing until July 2010.
