Manufacturers implementing part traceability programmes might like to take a look at Cognex Corporation’s next generation DataMan 7500 series handheld direct part mark readers.
They can read all printed and Direct Part Mark (DPM) codes.
The DataMan 7500 handheld ID readers combine Cognex’s IDMax code reading software with a new patent-pending UltraLight illumination technology to read codes regardless of marking method, part material, shape, or surface texture.
The 7500 series includes the 7500 corded and 7550 cordless models.
The DataMan 7500 supports USB, keyboard wedge and RS232 communications, while the DataMan 7550 supports Bluetooth wireless communications.
Both readers combine a Digital Signal Process (DSP) with a high-resolution (1280 x 1024) image sensor, rugged industrial design and a simple set-up interface.
The DataMan 7550 will be available this month while the DataMan 7500 will be available in February.
