High-temperature, polyimide labels are commonly used in the circuit board industry where product labelling must withstand high temperatures, solvents and wave soldering processes. When laser-marking of a 2D data matrix code, a Code 3 of 9 barcode and an eight-digit text string was required, a mark file was created using WinMark Pro software. With a Synrad FH Series marking head, high-contrast marks were achieved in a cycle time of 0.69 seconds per label.
